This artifact is also a piece of memorabilia from the Bloody October protests. As explained in the World Facts page, many of the students that responded with peaceful protest to the draft were inspired by the protesters of the 1960's. Just like their protests, they were also inspired by the music, which lead a lot of students to pick up instruments in protest.
